The rhythm tracks for "La Quinta" were recorded live, in our basement practice dungeon, below the streets of the Tenderloin District, San Francisco. The resulting mixes were then seasoned with analog tape goo at The Old School Studio in Caspar, CA, on the Mendocino coast. The album features some searing lead guitar work from Smokin' Joe Ransom. Nathan McCoy (Rivel) contributed keys to "Small Dreams". and the legendary Tom Cook (of The Debonaires and The Revivers) did some organ work on "Do It". Burnt's fifth album brings head-nodding sounds of hope, and is the result of a minimalist approach to songwriting and production.
