about

Our third album is an eclectic mash-up of styles-- from hip hop to roots reggae; from dancehall to dub; from electronica to raw punk-- start to finish Tortillas is a journey through the underground of California's sonic landscape. This album features original beats produced by IntoCognition and Mikey Cannon (formerly of the B-Side Players), as well as searing vocals from MC Karmic Basis, dancing keys from Ryan Tomizan of the Debonaires and more!

The core of BURNT for the Tortillas sessions consisted of Rob LaPorte (Drums, Percussion), Kathik Suresh (Bass), Joe Ransom (Lead Guitar, Bass) and Danny Franco (Lead Vocals, Rhythm Guitar, Bass)

The bulk of the music for Tortillas was recorded at Stems and Seeds Studio B in San Diego. An old store front on 30th Street in North Park, which served as both the living and working space for the band, is featured on the back cover.
